This website is operated by Cardeen Williams, CPA, MBA, Wealth Strategist (“we”, “us”, “our”), a licensed Independent Insurance Broker serving clients in Alberta, Ontario, New Brunswick and British Columbia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information obtained through this website and through our online booking calendar.

When you book a call through our online calendar (hosted by Calendly), we collect the information you provide, which may include:

• Your name and contact details (email address, phone number)
• Your answers to our pre-call questions — for example, whether you care for a dependent with a disability, whether your dependent qualifies for the Disability Tax Credit, and whether you have a plan in place
• Any additional details you choose to share about your family’s situation

We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit this website, such as pages viewed, approximate location (country), device type and traffic source, through privacy-conscious website analytics. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

• Schedule, prepare for and conduct your planning call
• Respond to your questions and follow up on your request for information
• Assess which programs, benefits and planning strategies may be relevant to your family
• With your consent, provide insurance and financial planning services, including preparing applications and recommendations

• Insurance carriers and other financial institutions, but only with your knowledge and consent, when you decide to proceed with an application
• Your other professional advisors (for example, your lawyer or accountant), only with your consent, to coordinate your plan
• Regulators, courts or authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by law

Some service providers may store or process information outside Canada. Where that occurs, your information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed.

6. How we protect and retain your information

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of your information, including access controls, encryption in transit and secure service providers. Personal information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law and professional record-keeping obligations, after which it is securely destroyed or anonymized.
